Though it falls a bit out of my typical filmmaking genre — no environmental gloom-and-doom, no remote corners of the world! — I’m proud and happy to have produced, with Natalie Merchant, a very fun, moving bio-pic of her career and specifically her re-recording of her album “Tigerlily,” which came out twenty years ago.
The film and album — “Paradise Is There” — are out on November 6th and in advance we’ve organized some sneak-peek, one-night-only screenings across the country …
In and around the Hudson Valley there will be a few screenings and tickets will go fast:
October 27 — Time and Space Limited, Hudson
October 29 — Upstate Theater, Rhinebeck (Natalie will do Q&A)
November 2 — Spectrum 8, Albany (Natalie Q&A via Skype)
November 3 & 7 — Rosendale Theatre, Rosendale (Natalie Q&A on the 3rd)
Hope you can all come!
